"It is fantastic to see Recycled By change the way people think about fashion and offer consumers high end items with a hugely reduced carbon footprint".
Indigo Children's Fund is a small independent UK charity with a focus on the education and safe housing of vulnerable children around the world.
Every single penny donated to the charity is spent directly on our projects, no administration costs whatsoever, no salaries and no office space. All of our running costs are covered by a private benefactor.
Over the last 9 years we have opened schools and safe houses throughout Thailand, Myanmar, Nepal, Vietnam, Cambodia and The Philippines.
Our most recent opening is a child development centre in Cagayan De Oro, The Philippines. (view here) This centre complements our already constructed girls safe village, for young survivors of the horryfying sex trade throughout the country (view here). Without our support these girls would have very little chance of a fair start in life, and it is thanks to the generosity of others that we are able to achieve fantastic results.
Many of these children lived on the city landfill of Cagayan De Oro, a 17 hectare garbage dump where the waste from the textiles and clothing industries is ever present and of huge local concern and the situation desperately needs to be addressed and the industry standards adapted.
It is fantastic to see Recycled By change the way people think about fashion and offer consumers high end items with a hugely reduced carbon footprint. For us and for the beneficiaries that we support this is the ideal partnership and we look forward to working closely with Recycled By Grace for many years to come.
We can't thank Ruth enough and we wish her and the team all the very best in this unique and exciting venture.
